Kelly Poluson: Career Coach
Kelly has spent her 15+ year career helping organizations and individuals kick ass and become better versions of themselves. Coaching, training, recruiting – you name it, she’s done it, and in a variety of industries ranging from advertising to behavioral health to tourism and beyond.
She’s a secret weapon for combatting employee engagement challenges and guiding individuals to achieve their dreams in all areas of their lives. From supporting new managers in their journeys from uncertain supervisors to rock star bosses, to helping lost newbies zero in on what they want from their careers to enabling leaders to be more self-aware in their management styles, she’s done it all. Kelly is certified by the International Coach Federation and a regular contributor at sites like Fairygodboss, Career Contessa, Workology & The Muse. Kelly is also one of the co-founders of DisruptHR Philadelphia.
When she’s not pushing to make people and organizations better, Kelly spends most of her time marathoning Netflix programming with her mutt, Dexter.
It’s hard to pick just one. Big fan of Jen Sincero and all of her badassery. Anything Brene Brown, Shawn Achor or Adam Grant. If it’s about positive psychology, making yourself or making the workplace better, count me in! Fiction wise, I dig Chuck Palahniuk.
Fun Fact 1:
I’m a big fan of sharks and flew to South Africa to cage dive with Great Whites!

Why you do coaching with HTYC:
The way I see it, life is too damn short to spend it feeling stuck. Or frustrated. Or focused on doing what you “should” do. Getting beyond these feelings takes work and guts but it’s well worth it. Having a partner in crime to help you navigate these waters makes it less daunting and quite frankly, gets you to your destination quicker. I work with people who are looking to kick ass in their organizations and beyond. People who haven’t figured it out yet and want a guide to help find and do work that matters to them while having enough energy leftover to enjoy life.
