Bio

I started with dreams of dissecting frogs in biology class, aiming for a stethoscope around my neck, but life threw me into the thrilling world of law enforcement instead (quite a curve ball, right!?)

From chasing down criminals to fostering community relationships, I’ve done it all!

I’ve played the role of Intern Deputy Medicolegal Death Investigator, and moonlighted as a Deputy Coroner and Autopsy Tech, all while keeping the peace as a Corrections Sergeant at the county jail.

Then, I decided to trade in my badge for a new adventure on the open road as a Police Officer, eventually becoming the Sherlock Holmes of the Special Victims Unit 🕵🏼‍♀️  But hey, even detectives need a change of pace, so I traded my magnifying glass for a laptop and dove headfirst into the world of freelance!

Life’s thrown me curveballs, but I’ve learned to shimmy my way through them with a smile on my face! Sometimes it’s a nervous smile, but it’s a smile nonetheless.

Cheers to the wild ride of life and finding what fits your purpose! 🎉

FUN FACT (well… story)

I was curious about a nest in one of our trees, so I took my cell phone and tried to get a better view by snapping a picture to see how many newborn birdies there were. Well, as luck would have it, one of the baby birds, on the brink of leaving the nest anyways, got spooked and hopped out, beginning a frantic game of keep away. I found myself tiptoeing around, trying to coax the little thing back, all the while unaware that mama and papa bird were observing from a nearby tree, voicing their squaking disapproval. Luckily, I called my husband in for reinforcement just in time. Mama and papa bird were dive-bombing at my head as I managed to gently scoop up their offspring and return it to the nest. Don’t worry, the baby bird was A-OK. However, the next day, there was no sign of our feathered friends – I suppose they weren’t fans of my impromptu photoshoot.
