From chasing criminals and working crime scenes to building the systems that keep a growing company running – let’s just say my career has never followed a straight line, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

After nearly 16 years in law enforcement (yes, I was that person – Deputy Coroner, Autopsy Tech, Corrections Sergeant, SVU Detective — the whole thing 🕵🏼‍♀️), I traded my badge for a laptop and discovered something unexpected: I’m really good at building things.

Now I get to do that every day at HTYC. I’m the person behind the scenes making sure the right systems, processes, and people are in place so the team can do what they do best – help people find work that actually fits. From hiring and onboarding to operations, client experience, and team infrastructure, I’m the one connecting the dots and keeping the gears turning.

Turns out, everything I learned solving cases translated perfectly – attention to detail, reading people, staying calm when things get chaotic, and always asking why before jumping to how.

Life’s thrown me curveballs, but I’ve learned to shimmy my way through them with a smile on my face. Sometimes it’s a nervous smile, but it’s a smile nonetheless.

FUN FACT (well… story)  

I spent years investigating crimes and thought I’d seen everything – then I tried to grow zucchini and discovered a whole new level of chaos (too much zucchini, need more time to bake).

Why I work with HTYC:  

After a career spent serving people in some of the hardest moments of their lives, I wanted work that still mattered – just with a little less crime scene tape. HTYC gave me that.

I’m here because I genuinely believe that when people find work that fits who they are, everything changes – for them, for their families, and for the people around them. Getting to be part of building the engine that makes that happen? That’s a pretty good reason to show up.

Most people spend a third of their lives at work. HTYC exists to make sure that third is actually worth something. I believe that down to my bones – and it’s exactly why I’m here. When the mission is this real, the work doesn’t feel like work.

And then there’s the secret mission – the one that gets me really fired up. Help enough people find their ideal career so that they can turn around and change the organizations they lead, impact, and work within. One person finds work that fits → they show up differently → the whole room shifts. This is bigger than any one of us, and we need an army of Happeners to pull it off. I’m proud to be building that army from the inside. 🎉
