Bio

I’m a Professional Certified Career and Executive Coach who has accelerated 1,000+ execs, leaders, and career transitioners in reaching for what’s next with more intention, confidence and ease. With me as your coach, you have a sounding board, a challenger, a confidence builder, an encourager, a troubleshooter, a seasoned advisor and a long-term partner on your side.

After a short stint practicing law, I built my career as an early hire in early stage startups, moving from marketing into sales and operations and eventually becoming a COO, while also working across industries like wine and spirits, social impact, consulting, and tech. I found myself going from the courtroom to launching a liquor brand across the US. From celebrating the acquisition of that brand by a leader in the spirits industry, to the snowy mountains of Davos for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting discussing global epidemics alongside the likes of Bill Gates. Do I have stories!

Through wearing many hats, learning industries from the ground up, hiring and building teams, and serving as a sounding board to those around me, I (in all honesty) burned myself out. While I didn’t know it at the time, I also built the foundation for becoming a coach, and am now comfortable coaching across functions and industries.

As I led myself through the burnout and out the other side, I looked back to realize that at the intersection of what gives me the most energy, what I am the best at, and what I’m known for was holding space for others — helping them gain awareness, being a thought partner to them, and collaborating to action their plans so that they could be achieve that next step and beyond. It had always been there, it had just taken shapes that weren’t aligned with my values and the way in which I show up the strongest for myself and others.

After many conversations, I learned that all of this packaged together was coaching. I took the leap to become a full-time career and executive coach and haven’t looked back since. How lucky am I to do this everyday?!

Now, I lean on my natural curiosity, love for branding and operations, and ability to unblock others to coach leaders — ranging from strong individual contributors, to founders, to executives at small businesses, all the way up to large enterprise and global companies like Google, Calendly, Nike, and Bacardi to issue spot, problem solve, and catalyze their careers.

I lead with kindness, collaboration, and vulnerability, while believing coaching conversations are a place to share truths and create action. Dare I say, even have some fun along the way! Success to me is when you walk away from our time together more confident, with the tools needed now and in the future, and ready to take the next step. Then, let’s celebrate together!

When I’m not coaching, you can find me devouring podcasts about startups and marketing, spending quality time with my daughter and husband, exploring new coffee shops, admiring a sunset, and taking my dog on long walks or to the dog park.

FAVORITE BOOKs

  • What Got You Here Won’t Get You There by Marshall Goldsmith – As we go through different seasons of our life, we can forget to pause and realize that an identity that might have served us up to a point, may no longer be helpful to us. I find this book is a fantastic reminder to take that pause and recognize when it’s time to acknowledge you’re leaving one season and moving into another. Then own that new identity, likely along with a new mindset, behaviors, and actions.
  • Give and Take by Adam Grant  Whether you’re crushing it at work or burned out, I deeply believe operating with a “give” mentality opens up opportunities you never knew were possible. We get so much value from helping others and, opening up your aperture to connecting with other people in this way, will get you further than you could ever imagine. This book proves this point.
  • Atomic Habits by James Clear – I could read this book over and over and learn something new each time. The concepts in this book extend beyond career and into the depths of everyday life and when implemented, can create compounding, meaningful results.
  • Then We Set His Hair On Fire by Phil Dusenberry – This book is all about the lessons learned from a hall of fame career in advertising, as Phil was an executive and former chairman of BBDO North America. I find anything to do with psychology, branding, and positioning absolutely fascinating.

I could go on! Here are a few more titles: Choose Possibility (for help determining what’s next in your career), Zero to One (for the startup-curious), and The Making of a Manager (for new managers).

FUN FACT

I do my best deep work to the sounds of coffee shop noise (sans being in a real coffee shop) and have a noisy coffee cafe playlist on Spotify. ☕️
